If you ever find yourself in a survival situation, or perhaps you have a weekend to yourself to spend in the woods, a good value for your time is the construction of a primitive shelter. It won’t be a hotel room, but the satisfaction and enjoyment of building your own shelter will help you sleep soundly at night. Also, you won’t have to battle the elements while you catch those essential ZZZs.
Advanced registration is required. To register, or if you have questions, call Ed Kasperek at 716.352.8346.
We will meet at the Horse Corral (Eternal Flame parking lot). Build site will be only a short walk into the woods, so all are invited. Come out and learn a new skill that could maybe someday save a life. This is a great class for all ages!
Sincere thanks to the Erie County Parks Department for their cooperation and assistance with this and all of the CRC programs.
